In June 2008, Summer Youth Blitz and Youth Immersion alumni will gather in Americus, Ga., home of Habitat for Humanity International, for a week of building, learning and fun!
Youth Immersion seeks to teach young people about Habitat’s mission, and make eliminating poverty housing a matter of conscience and action. High school and college students from around the country are committed to Habitat’s mission after a Summer Youth Blitz/Youth Immersion experience, and continue to “be the change” in their own communities.
This will be a unique opportunity to meet up with past teammates, bond with participants from other trips, and help train our new Youth Immersion summer staff. Participants will be building with New Horizons HFH of Sumter County and have the opportunity to learn more about Habitat’s birthplace.
Dates: June 22-27, 2008 Application deadline: Passed (March 21, 2008)
