Involving youth in Habitat for Humanity’s mission
Habitat’s youth programs seek to engage young people ages 5 to 25 and involve them as leaders in the work of Habitat for Humanity. There are many opportunities for adult leaders to educate young people about the need for affordable housing and include them in Habitat for Humanity’s work.

Youth Leadership Conference
Hundreds of youth and advisers gather for the annual Youth Leadership Conference. Habitat staff, Youth United and Campus Chapter advisers and others involving youth with Habitat for Humanity are encouraged to attend!

Act! Speak! Build! Week
Act! Speak! Build! Week is Habitat’s student-initiated week of advocacy around housing issues. Young people ages 5 to 25 partner with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates to plan and host events focused on ending poverty housing.

Campus Chapters
Campus chapters are student-led organizations on high school or college campuses that partner with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates. Chapters help Habitat advocate, educate, build and fundraise to eliminate poverty housing.

Collegiate Challenge
Collegiate Challenge is a year-round program that offers an alternative to school break trips. Groups of students ages 16 and up can spend one week working in partnership with Habitat for Humanity organizations across the United States.

Global Village
Global Village trips are short-term build trips to locations throughout the United States and the world! Youth 16 and older may be able to sign up as an individual or as part of a group.

Learn and Build Experience
Learn and Build Experience is a fun, hands-on opportunity for high school students ages 16 to 18. Youth serve as they learn about poverty issues and community during a weeklong build trip.

Youth United
Youth United is a program for youth who want to raise money and help build a Habitat home in their communities. Youth ages 5 to 25 can get involved as leaders, planners, press agents, fundraisers and more.
