Welcome to Women Build! -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l 1
Welcome to Women Build!
About Women Build
Women Build is Habitat’s volunteer program for women who want to learn construction skills and make a difference by building homes and communities. The mission of HFHI’s Women Build program is to enable U.S. and international affiliates to recruit, educate and nurture women to build—and advocate for—simple, decent and affordable houses.
Women Build projects are regularly held by Habitat affiliates across the United States, and by Habitat organizations around the world. Women at these builds have furthered Habitat’s home-building mission by helping to construct more than 1,750 houses.
Support a Women Build in your community
Regular Women Builds take place throughout the year and around the world. For a listing of upcoming Women Builds, visit Habitat's Special Events directory. If you do not find a Women Build project near you, connect with Habitat in your community. Your local affiliate may be planning an event in the near future.
The international movement
Women Build projects, fundraising campaigns and advocacy efforts have taken place in more than 30 countries. In many of these places, Habitat works directly through women’s savings groups to help build homes in partnership with families in their communities. Learn more about how you can get involved in the international Women Build movement.

You can even check out first-hand accounts from build sites across the United States.
