Habitat for Humanity’s 24th annual house-building event comes to a close
The Jimmy Carter Work Project 2007 brought together thousands of volunteers from all over the world to sites in South Central Los Angeles and San Pedro. From Oct. 28 to Nov. 2 volunteers and partner families joined the Carters to build 30 houses and refurbish dozens of others. Habitat for Humanity and super-volunteers Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have hosted the annual international event since 1984.
