![]() Bringing Back the Music Adam Crochet left New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina; he and his girlfriend, drummer Boyanna Trayanova, didn't plan to return. But they missed the music scene. Says guitarist and vocalist Crochet: "Here you work as hard as you can, and you hope to hear one of the old guys say, 'You're doin' OK.'" The opportunity to buy a Habitat house in Musicians' Village, a community of New Orleans' performers and other Habitat partner families, made a difference. "We want to live in a city where there's good music every night of the week," says Crochet. As homeowners and musicians, that's the New Orleans they're helping to create. |
