The Range on the Homes

Habitat homes in the United States are as different as the affiliates that build them, we noted in a photo essay in the last issue. That statement is even more accurate and more interesting when applied to the other 90-plus countries where Habitat works to eliminate poverty and substandard housing.

Wherever that may be, the effort is always to blend in and to be culturally sensitive. The Habitat homes from around the world on these pages illustrate the vastly different architectures that result.
