Church Programmes: Put Your Faith into Action!

Poverty housing is a global tragedy. In fact, more than 1 billion people live in slum housing just in urban areas. You and your congregation can become part of a mission that works with those in need to rid the world of slums and build simple, decent, affordable homes.

“We must make it socially, politically, morally and religiously unacceptable for people who are made in God’s image to live in subhuman conditions.”

Millard Fuller
Founder of Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity’s Christian Identity

Habitat for Humanity is a nondenominational Christian housing organization. Our aim is to eliminate poverty housing worldwide. Since its founding in 1976, HFH has become a global leader in addressing poverty housing by helping more than a million people to have a simple, decent and affordable place to live.

Habitat for Humanity seeks to demonstrate the love of God through practical action. It is our Christian faith that motivates our mission. We witness to the power and love of Jesus Christ each time we build a house, strengthen communities, and make people aware of families in need.

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and truth.”
1 John 3:18

God’s love extends to all people, which is why we build homes with and for people of all races, faiths and backgrounds. We invite everyone to join us in the fight to eliminate poverty housing.
