What Can Churches and Individuals Do? -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l 1

What Can Churches and Individuals Do?

HFH’s success is based on the generous actions of others demonstrated in variety of ways. The following are just a few suggestions:

Pray

Volunteer praying on the build site.

Our mission needs your prayers. As Millard Fuller says, “The bible tells us plainly that all things are possible, even the elimination of all substandard housing.”

Volunteer

Send a team of volunteers to help build homes in another country through our Global Village Programme. Teams live and work together with the local community building homes and learning about each other’s culture. We send teams to more than 40 countries worldwide. You can choose a location just across Europe or one around the world.

“Going on Global Village was extremely rewarding and humbling. It taught me a great deal about my own culture and challenged me to look at what was important in my life.”

Alison Bunch
Volunteer

The Global Village programme can be adapted to fit a youth group (age 16 and older), a few interested members or a diverse congregation of volunteers. Best of all… you do not need construction experience. Our build sites are volunteer friendly and work is done under trained supervision.

Donate

Habitat for Humanity needs your financial support for its mission. Have a special offering or event to raise funds to help house others in need. You could even sponsor a house or global village team. The tangible result of your offering will witness to the blessing your congregation’s generosity can be to others.
