Building on Faith
A special celebration event
Building on Faith is Habitat for Humanity’s annual celebration of our church partnerships, an essential part of our Christian ministry.
During this weeklong celebration, local Habitat affiliates and their church partners host building events and celebrations.
Building on Faith 2011
This year’s celebration will be held Sept. 12-18. On Sunday, Sept. 18, Building on Faith culminates on the International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat.

Event size
Building on Faith events can be grand. For example, local and international church partners once built 16 houses in El Salvador during their celebration.
In other areas, a leap of faith may be a smaller step. Building a simple, decent house for a family in need is a perfect event.
No matter the size, Building on Faith events should mobilize the faith community to build houses as an expression of God’s love.
Event benefits
Building on Faith events have become a way for local Habitat affiliates to get churches excited and involved in our work.
