One day to go! -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l 1
June 8, 2006One day to go!
With one day left in the blitz, we are standing in great shape! Countertops were installed today along with fixtures and flooring. We had an entire crew of Brookstone volunteers working hard painting the two porches and pitching in all day with other miscellaneous duties around the job site. It was great to see so much energy and excitement! Our final inspection is tomorrow at 8 a.m. when we hope to get occupancy. We’ll have another big Brookstone crew down there most of the day armed with cleaning supplies to do the final clean and lay the sod in the front lawn before turning over the keys to our homeowners. A few builders finished up today, and everyone else should finish tomorrow with no problem. Cleo and Carolyn are beyond excited at this point! Carolyn could not stop talking about how much she loves her new countertops! There is definitely nothing like the feeling of a new home! We look forward to welcoming Jonathan Reckford and Abby Goward from Habitat for Humanity to our Milwaukee site tomorrow to kick off the celebration!
